Morning Musume's leader and subleader are featured in a new TV movie, set to air August 1st.
Takahashi Ai (21) & Niigaki Risa (19) will portray Pink Lady, a very popular singing duo from the late 70s and early 80s. Takahashi will play Mie, and Niigaki will play Kei. Some of you H!P fans will remember their hits "Southpaw" and "Nagisa no Sindbad" which were remade by W for their debut album.
The drama they're appearing in is titled "Hitmaker Aku Yuu Monogatari", the story of the famous lyricist Aku Yuu, who passed away last year. Takahashi & Niigaki will be performing the hit song "Pepper Kaibu" in the drama. It's set to air on August 1st on NTV.

Ahhhh man, I feel W should star in this instead of Niigaki and Takahashi. Don't get me wrong but isn't W the fans of the Pink Ladys

yeh youre ryt but aichan and niinii are the stars now. too bad W is impossible to be revived ever again. |

I agree.
At first (when I saw this). I went; Awww... that's so a W role.
But then I realized since they're gone, next in line would probably be Takahashi and Niigaki. |

W as a idol group is impossible but them appearing on a drama/movie together isn't. This would have been a great TsujixKago comeback (plus they already know the songs LOL)

Takahashi looks amazing! Risa does too.
That would be amazing if TsujixKago were in a drama together. I could see that drama getting high ratings
